The team is seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer to be based in Hong Kong and to lead all finance functions in Asia markets including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand (functional management for South Asia finance team). This position will be directly reporting to Amundi Asia CEO and functionally reporting to Amundi Group CFO. He/she will be responsible for a team of 15+ FTEs.
This role is critical to enabling our growth ambitions, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standard of control and enhancing collaborations across different markets. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep hands-on experience in asset management, exceptional Asia market and local knowledge in financial practices and accounting standards, and the ability to guide the teams to navigate challenges and opportunities of this dynamic market.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and growth plans.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
- Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead financial planning and analysis to support business decision-making and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with other executives to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Oversee capital structure, funding, and investment activities to optimize financial performance.
- Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the board, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial controls to maintain organizational stability.

Minimal education level
Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
Level of minimal experience
11 years and more
Experience
15+ years of senior leadership experience within asset management firms or other large scale financial institutions.
Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, preferably in asset management
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
